Terms of Service

Last updated: August 4, 2026

These terms govern your use of ChurchKit, operated by Threefold Technology, LLC. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

ChurchKit connects your church’s Planning Center account to the places your congregation sees it. It is sold as four independent modules — Embeds, Displays, Assessments, and Actions — which you may enable individually.

ChurchKit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Planning Center or Webflow. We integrate with their public APIs as a third-party developer, and your use of those platforms remains governed by your agreements with them.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of your church or organization. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for everything that happens under your account.

When you connect Planning Center or Webflow, you confirm that you have the authority to grant that access on behalf of your organization.

3. Subscriptions and billing

  • Per-module pricing. Each paid module is billed separately on a monthly subscription. Displays is free and included with every account.
  • No free trial. Paid modules do not include a time-limited trial. The free plan and the free Displays module let you evaluate ChurchKit before purchasing.
  • Metered usage on Actions. The Actions subscription includes an allowance of synced items per billing period. Usage beyond that allowance is billed at the per-item rate shown on our pricing page and charged in arrears. A full re-sync counts every item it writes.
  • Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled.
  • Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings. Access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
  • Price changes. We may change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice before it affects your next renewal.
  • Taxes. Prices exclude applicable taxes, which we add where required.

Failure to pay may result in suspension of paid modules. Embeds and syncs stop functioning while an account is suspended.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to violate any law, or to publish content you do not have the right to publish.
  • Publish personal information about congregants — especially minors — without appropriate consent.
  • Attempt to access another organization's data, or probe, scan, or test the security of the service.
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label the service without our written agreement.
  • Circumvent usage limits or billing meters, or misrepresent usage.
  • Use the service to send unsolicited bulk messages, or in a way that degrades it for others.
  • Reverse engineer the service except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable by law.

5. Your content and data

You retain all rights to your church’s content and data. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, and display that content strictly as needed to provide the service you have configured — for example, rendering an embed on your website or writing a synced item to your Webflow collection.

This licence exists only to operate ChurchKit and ends when you delete the content or close your account. We do not use your content to train machine learning models.

You are responsible for what you choose to publish through embeds, displays, and forms, including whether it is appropriate to show publicly.

6. Third-party services

ChurchKit depends on Planning Center, and optionally Webflow, Stripe, and other providers. We are not responsible for their availability, changes to their APIs, or their handling of your data under your agreements with them. If a third party changes or removes functionality we rely on, some features may change or stop working.

7. Intellectual property

ChurchKit, including its software, design, and documentation, remains our property. These terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service — not ownership of it. “ChurchKit” and our logo are our marks and may not be used without permission.

8. Availability

We work to keep ChurchKit available and reliable, but we do not offer a guaranteed uptime commitment unless we have agreed to one in writing. We may perform maintenance, modify features, or discontinue parts of the service. If we discontinue a paid module, we will give reasonable notice and refund any prepaid, unused fees for it.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data synced between systems will always be complete or current.

Assessment results are a reflection tool intended to support conversation and ministry placement. They are not professional, psychological, or pastoral advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Threefold Technology, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the maximum extent permitted.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Threefold Technology, LLC harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms or of any law or third-party right.

12. Termination

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, creates risk or legal exposure, or remains unpaid.

On termination, your right to use the service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — survive.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product and the law change. For material changes we will give notice by email or in the application before they take effect. Continuing to use ChurchKit after that means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction.
